Farm Life at Valley House
Life on the land.
Valley House is more than a place to stay — it’s a living, working farm shaped by tradition, care, and a deep connection to the land.
From heritage sheep grazing the meadows to chickens scratching under trees and the seasonal rhythm of our gardens and hives, there’s a gentle richness to life here. It moves slowly, and it rewards those who pause to notice.
We invite you to wander the footpaths, meet our animals, and experience a quieter, more grounded way of life — one shaped by weather, light, and love for the land.
The ones who call it home.
The animals at Valley House are not just part of the landscape. They are part of the family. From rare breeds to curious companions, they bring life, warmth, and charm to every corner of the farm.
Norfolk Horn Sheep
A proud and hardy native breed, deeply tied to East Anglia’s farming history. You’ll find them grazing the meadows with quiet confidence and calm curiosity.
Pigs
Our Tamworth pigs are full of personality. They roam the woodland with muddy snouts and happy hearts, always ready to root, nap, or stir up a little mischief.
Chickens
Fluffy-footed and full of character, our Faverolles hens move through the grass with ease. Their soft chatter and fresh eggs add daily delight to life on the farm.
Farm Dogs & Cats
Our Springer Spaniels are the heartbeat of the farm, always wagging and ready to greet. The cats prefer sunbeams and quiet spots but never miss a thing.
